A marketing representative for ESPN has denied having any discussions with Apple yesterday about allowing its sports content to be redistributed through the Apple TV set-top-box.
Although there have not been any negotiations, ESPN exect Sean Bratches told Bloomberg, "To the extent that in the future there’s an opportunity with Apple to authenticate through the pay-TV food chain as we’re doing with Microsoft, that’s something that we will participate in."

NBC loves The Voice so much that it is putting a second cycle of the hit singing competition on its fall television schedule.
Even so, the fall version will have changes to it, including the possibiliy of a different set of celebrity judges, though no names have been released as contenders for the revolving chairs.

The History Channel will air the 3 part miniseries, Hatfields & McCoys, beginning on Memorial Day, May 28th at 8 PM Central time.
Superstars Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton play the heads of the Hatfield and McCoy families along with Tom Berenger and Mare Winningham also starring in the miniseries.

CSI: Miami is hitting the swampy marshes of Florida no more, having been cancelled by CBS today.
The David Caruso dramatic series was the first spinoff from the hit series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, that originally starred William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger. That show has been renewed for a 13th season with Ted Danson now in the center seat, but for Caruso and the show's ensemble, it's ten and done, which is very respectable for any network show in this era.

The ABC sitcom, Cougar Town, now belongs to TBS. Negotiations have been ongoing for the TBS pickup since the Courtney Cox comedy was canceled by ABC. The order has the show debuting on TBS in early 2013, though it is unclear as to how many episodes will comprise the order. It will be the fourth season for the series, with a possibility of a fifth, according to reports by Deadline.com.

The power of television to spread news fast was proven again today when President Barack Obama told ABC New's Robin Roberts that he is now in full support of same sex marriage. The news was so stunning that rival NBC actually broke into its morning programming with a report by Brian Williams, acknowledging the ABC news report.

In a surprising move, Microsoft has announced that its Windows 8 platform will not include its Media Center software as a standard part of the package. Users wanting the software will have to purchase an upgrade in order to watch DVDs and Blu-Ray disks. The release will, however, continue to support popular media such as MP3, MP4, PCM, and WMA. According to Microsoft, the cost for Media Center in Win 8 will be "marginal."
