I don't even understand why anyone would buy a TiVo
HD when they aren't cable customers. It just doesn't make sense: So much of the cost of the TiVo is wrapped up in the cost to support CableCARD, that using the TiVo without CableCARD (and I
know that there are some people who do) just doesn't make much sense to me.
The TiVo is in the same market as the $800 Moxi
HD DVR, not the DTVPal
DVR.
