OS is unimportant - it's the player required.
I've been able to get a lot of stations with Windows 98 and Media Player Classic, from this install package:
About the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack . Some sites do require some form of authorization, and for some Win2K would work, others require WinXP's browser-in-mediaplayer architecture. That way I don't have to lean too much on a particular media player. I prefer players that have very little interface - complete transparency is best, it shouldn't add a border or other nonsense to the picture.
