Beginning July 1, MHz Networks will launch Al Jazeera English– joining our nine other 24/7channels, including: euronews, France 24, NHK World TV, MCN, NTA, RT, SABC News International and VTV- in the Washington, D.C. market. On June 12, all 10 MHz Networks channels became available via digital broadcast...for free. Our channels are also available through all cable and telco providers in the area: Comcast, Cox, RCN, and Verizon FiOS. Our primary channel, MHz Networks 1 (MHz Worldview DC) is also available locally on DirecTV and Dish Network. A division of Commonwealth Public Broadcasting Corporation headquartered in Richmond, VA, MHz Networks is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and an independent, non-commercial broadcaster. MHz has studio facilities in Falls Church, VA and at Washington, D.C.’s Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.
Now there's some first hand information.

Now I really wish I had these channels in my area.

I think that most foreign language networks in the U.S. make a mistake by not translating their content to English. I've watched a few game shows on Univision before and was quite entertained, but could only understand bits and pieces of the broadcast.

We need more programming like this.
