That's amazing, across the board Duran Duran and Soundgarden (though I have some of their CDs) I don't like across the board, but certain songs. You picked two of my favorite songs from those two.
Now I could be way off, but it would seem if you liked them Green Days stuff since the 90's would at least be in the same genre? Or I am that out of date? I like a lot of Green Day songs.
After the mid 90's I stopped following Pearl Jam and Bush the I listened to a lot for their first couple albums each. No one understood with my true love of blues and blues rock how I could turn Bush up and to almost blowing the speakers. My tastes are so eclectic I can't describe them. If someone is good, then I generally like the song. I extend from Folk Music near the turn of the 20th century, to 1930's black blues morphing into the Jump Blues bands and the white rendition of it Big Band music. However I like small what was called Jazz bands back in the 50's and 60's when I was around to hear it live.
I still don't like Elvis much. I didn't like Little Richard back when he as current but do now. The Beatles were cool, but once I heard Blues Rock from the Rolling Stones, Spencer Davis, Yardbirds I was hooked and followed those musicians through their many other bands.
Sadly many of my favorite guitar players died young, Duane Allman, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Though Derek Trucks is like hearing Duane Allman reborn.
Ok, enough for now. I could keep going into the 70 and up but save it for another post with music.
