Here's the thing,

with the coupon program, the current markup on boxes being made by the manufactures/stores is about $15-$20, after consumers pay $10-$15 out of their own pocket.

If there wasn't a coupon program, these same converter boxes would be selling for $20-$25. Markup on the boxes would only be an industry average of 3-5%.

So the real winner in this whole thing is the manufacture/store, with a little bit of cost savings to the consumer, but wait, we didn't factor in the tax dollars involved with the coupon program itself. It's coming out of our pockets to give the stores and manufactures extra profit!

There should have been a "maximum price" or price ceiling mandated with approved manufactures for the converter box coupon program. Anyone else notice how their aren't a lot of options online or in brick stores to purchase these things?!!? Am I the only one that see's this?
