Safari doesn't nag me and it runs off the same Mozilla based platform as Firefox iirc.

Windows' wife-style notifications have been permenantly shut off at my end. cannot stand those speech balloon annoyances. if i want an update i'll go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com myself.

About 90% of what slows XP down is the 'features.' it's even worse on Vista. strip it down you got a nice version almost as great as Win98SE.
