If not, i would not blame the box but the antenna cable, perhaps the split is degrading the signal. Where is the Amp in relation to everything?
what type of amp are you using how close are your transmitters you may be overloading the tuners with the amp digital is effected very much by noise and many amps are very noisy, also you can overload the signal as well to much is as bad as to little.
