Hmm, most likely not, but it's always worth a try. If it doesn't work, you'll probably be able to get away with buying a low cost bunny ear (Dipole) type antenna. You can find them at Radio Shack or online stores for $10-$15 or so. I'm basing my answer on your ability to pick up analog signals with just your coax wire and no antenna, which probably means you're pretty close (15 miles or less) to broadcast towers.
