Is it me, or are the seasons getting blah? My most favorite winner is Carrie Underwood. She has done so much since her winning. Her success aspires me. All the other winners have done okay (WORST: TAYLOR), but Carrie Underwood songs have such strong meanings. Who's your favorite?
I must say, Carrie Underwood's career life after American Idol has been success. She is a popular artist, but contestants like Daughtry, Jordin get more audience because they're not country. She could get more success if she went of to like pop or something
I think the seasons have been pretty much consistent. I suspect that a lot of our personal feelings about the show hinge on whether we happen to like the contestants that specific year, and whether or not our favorites do well. I think also that folks who are, themselves, moving their interests away from the popular mainstream will mistakenly interpret that as American Idol declining.
