A lot of people watching TV from internet sources probably can't tell the difference either... but it's free/cheap so they aren't complaining!
I wonder how many people:
1>Have HD equipment, are paying for HD cable, and have it hooked up with 3-wire composite RCA from the box to the TV,
2> People who are paying for HD, and running it from the box into an analog TV.
because in the UK is two services the freeview and freeview HD the freeview HD is a paid service and the freeview service is SD service, currently the service that the majority of the people use in the UK is SD service, they believe that Freeview is a HD service when in the reality they are watching an SD service.
Also UK uses DVB-T and the system DVB-T2 can not offer HD resolutions and for offer HD services is made some modifications to the signal coding but the file that is sent to airwaves is a HD service with lack of clarity and lack of details for compression issues and colorimetry issues.
DVB-T2 can archieve HD resolutions but due to codec limitations and others factors the video quality in DVB-T in general is not that best in details
lol pogi , there not exist video component connections that are used in the americas , they uses Scart connection is a kind like vga connection just carry video in it .
well that are my two cents
Actually, Pogi, some folks don't have the discerning gene. My sister has always been atune to sound and visual differences. She can tell. I, however, can't. I have never really been able to tell a difference in sound or visual, except when initially upgrading from a lousy TV to a good one. Why this is, I don't know, but I'd say I'm one of those. That's why I'll never pay for HD. It's pointless for me. I think SD is awesome and am quite happy with it.
