Black Friday 2012: Store Hours and Deal Updates

Thanksgiving might be weeks away, but retailers all around the country are gearing up for Black Friday 2012 and the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.
It’s one of the few times where major retailers open their doors during the early morning hours or even earlier in many cases, allowing customers to take advantage of doorbusters, special deals and other wild shopping bargains. Since it always draws in scores of bargain-seeking shoppers far and wide, Black Friday holds the distinction of being one of the busiest shopping days in the entire year.
Best Buy – Store opens at 12:00am
Best Buy hasn’t let loose any particulars about its Black Friday sale just yet, but chances are it’ll feature deep discounts on popular electronic items, from laptops and cameras to video games, music, peripherals and much more. More on Best Buy's Black Friday 2012.
Macy’s – Store opens at 12:00am
Macy’s leaked over 20 items in a pre-Black Friday teaser a couple of weeks ago, with items like memory foam pillow cases, home appliances and other items from Bulova, Black & Decker, Charter Club and Ralph Lauren making the cut. Customers can expect up to 70 percent off these and other items on Black Friday.
Kohl’s – Store opens at 12:00am
In addition to its other Black Friday items, Kohl’s also announced deals on 25 exclusive toys from Fisher-Price, VTech, Mattel and more. However, 10 of these items are only available when ordered online.
Walmart – Store opens at 12:00am
Walmart’s Black Friday sales will officially begin at the stroke of midnight, giving scores of shoppers an opportunity to take advantage of excellent deals on selected popular items. Walmart even offers free shipping on eligible orders of $45 or more. More on Walmart's Black Friday 2012.
Sears – Store opens at 4:00am
There’s not much concrete info, but if last year is any guide, this year’s Black Friday deals may include steep discounts on name brand appliances, electronics, televisions, toys and much more.
Fred’s – Store opens at 5:00am
The discount retailer offers a number of Black Friday doorbusters, from home décor and small appliances to toys and holiday items like Christmas trees and decorations.
Kmart – Store opens at 5:00am
Kmart’s Black Friday deals are likely to mirror those offered last year, including doorbusters on tools, toys, TVs and other electronics. More on Kmart's Black Friday 2012.
Harbor Freight – Store opens at 7:00am
The discount tool and hardware store is hosting a 3-day sale beginning on Black Friday, ending on Sunday, November 25. Shoppers can save up to 80 percent on select tools and hardware.
Stein Mart – Store opens at 7:00am
Stein Mart plans to ring in the Christmas shopping season with on-the-spot discounts of up to $100. Each Stein Mart Black Friday sale flyer features a scratch-and-save coupon that could be worth anywhere from $10 to $100 when applied to total purchases. Other deals include deep discounts on men’s and women’s apparel, bedding, electronics, toys and more.
Toys R Us – Store opens at 9:00am
There’s no word yet on what the well-known retailer has up its sleeve when it comes to Black Friday deals and doorbusters. For now, shoppers can thumb through the 2012 Great Big Toys R Us Book for the latest deals and exclusives on a wide variety of toys, board games, video games and much more.
