Scarlett Johansson Dazzles on The Tonight Show

Scarlett Johansson dazzled Jay Leno in her form fitting white sheath dress in which he described as “classy” on Wednesday when she appeared to promote her new movie.

The Avengers which opens May 4th, is based on the popular Marvel Comic Books superheroes. Besides, Johansson, other actors reprising their roles in the movie are Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America. This time it is an ensemble cast that also includes Jeremy Renner, Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo in superhero roles. Johannson said that she and Cobie Smulders are the only key female actors in the film. You may remember Smulders as the actor who plays Robin Sherbatsky on the series How I Met Your Mother on CBS’s Monday night lineup.

Johansson discussed her costume for the movie. When asked by Leno whether the long black outfit was made of rubber or leather she said it was whatever he wanted it to be but did describe it as an “adult onesie” that felt like sweaty pajamas after a long day of filming.

Earlier in the evening, Jay congratulated Scarlett on the honor of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, that was unveiled earlier that day. She commented about how delighted she was that her star had good “real estate” near Madame Tussauds. She ribbed Jay about the location of his star, which as it turns out was personally selected by Leno. He stated his star was where he had been arrested by police for vagrancy when he first arrived in town.

Blake Shelton appeared later on the show to promote the finale of “The Voice” that begins on Monday May 7th. He accused Leno of trying to make him look like an idiot in front of Johansson. He did a pretty good of doing that himself when Leno brought up some of Shelton’s drunken tweets.
