Even though Harry’s Law is pulling in an estimated 8 to 9 million viewers during it’s run on NBC, the 18 to 49 year old demographic that advertisers seem to prefer is low and the show is in eminent danger of being cancelled.

Harry's Law Kathy BatesWhat a shame!

The show has an excellent cast of characters who seem to work well together and the plots are always new and interesting. A lot of times in a TV series like this, politics seem to take over and the writers start trying to inject their own political viewpoints into it. Harry’s Law has managed to avoid that and as it is ending its second season, the characters, plots and storylines are getting more involved and sometimes seem to feed off of current events in the legal world.

In my humble opinion, the show is always interesting and the twists thrown into the plots are unexpected, fresh and exciting.

The lead role of Harry Korn is by played by acting legend, Kathy Bates. You may remember her from her many film roles such as Molly Brown in Titanic, Annie Wilkes in Misery (for which she won an Academy Award), a short, but memorable stint with Jack Nicholson in About Schmidt, and a supporting role with Terry Bradshaw in Failure to Launch. She has also appeared in recent TV series such as Six Foot Under and a brief appearance as the ghost of Charlie Sheen’s character Charlie Harper in Two and One Half Men (really hilarious and well worth watching).

It is so great to see her back in action again as she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2003. The cancer bout had briefly curtailed her roles through recent years, but has managed to bounce back from the sometimes fatal disease. She credits her work for helping her to get through this period (the disease is now in complete remission). Many in the industry think her personal toughness and will to live have also been a big factor in helping her win this fight.

Back to Harry's Law, even a move from Wednesday evenings to Sunday evenings didn’t dampen its viewers enthusiasm as most of them moved with it (7.9 million viewers). Will NBC dump this fresh and innovative series and risk the wrath of many faithful viewers? Stay tuned.

Harry’s Law is shown on Sunday nights at 8PM EST on NBC. If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, please check it out. It will definitely be worth your time.

Harry's Law is one of the best shows on TV. If you cancel it I will stop watching NBC all together.
You keep on the dim witted, stupid, no plot, idiotic shows and cancel something with drama, excitement, talent, etc. What gives?

I love Harry's Law for the same reason I've loved House. Both shows have a strong lead character who seems to be grumpy and mean but always has a good heart and tries to to the right thing. Both Harry's Law and House cover moral dilemmas and current controversial issues in a fresh and unique way. I hope that NBC does not cancel it. After all, very few if any of their scripted shows garner these kind of viewership numbers. Harry's Law is the only scripted show that I refuse to miss every week.

I love Harry's Law. I'm not so crazy about all of the changes they've done since the beginning, but I'm a regular viewer. The stories are riveting and compelling. The thing is that you never know if justice and morality will win out or if the bad guys win. You also never know what side Harry is going to take, and she may change her point of view by the end. The show with the gorilla -- oh my gosh -- awesome.

Glad to see others who feel the same way I do. Maybe enough of us asking NBC to renew this series will persuade them to keep it on.

For some reason, this show reminds me of 'The Trials of Rosie O'Neil' which was cancelled. I liked Rosie O'Neil and I will miss Harry's Law if it is cancelled. Apparently viewers prefer to see staged car chases.

Get real, Folks! This show (as 'Rosie' was) is far closer to reality and TV viewers ought to grow up and IF they watched it, it would become a hit show. My guess is the majority of viewers have 'managed' to get out of serving Jury Duty when they were called. That is a requirement as a citizen of our Representative Republic. TV viewing is not. Psst ... the US is NOT a Democracy.

SO, NBC in all its studpity will cancel this show?? Probably in favor of farts, grunts and high school behavior. At least Harrys Law had some moral thinjing and real life situations to consider. Not so with most of the trash out there right now. SHAME ON YOU NBC!

I totally agree with this comment!!!!!!! NBC had a terrific show with "Harry's Law" and just because the younger people didn't like it they are taking it off? There already enough shows for that age group on TV. Shame on NBC!!!!!!

No House, no Harry's Law, no Closer, no Law and Order... What's left for a thinking person to watch? PBS!

Don't cancel Harry's Law!! It is one of the best in a long long time. It would appear that NBC is not interested in what their viewers want to see.
    PUT IT BACK!

Apparently NBC thinks that people over the age of 49 don't spend money. I don't know about you, but I spend a LOT of money. This is ageism. If NBC wants to cancel Harry's Law, a highly rated show, just because they don't like the demographics of the audience, then the only way they will listen is if we vote with our $$$. What could have been an opportunity for NBC to advertise products geared towards an audience in their 50's and 60's, is now an opportunity for that same audience to show NBC that we do have purchasing power, and that we can refuse to buy from advertisers who purchase air time from companies that cancel highly-rated, favorite shows. I will likely continue to watch NBC so I can see which products to NOT buy, and which products to tell my family members to NOT buy. BOYCOTT NBC advertisers until NBC reconsiders their decision!!!

I'm with all the others, I love Harry's Law. I've been watching this program since it began and i look forward to all the quirky characters and story lines. I am losing my faith in the NBC executives, another great program cancelled, maybe one of your competitive networks will have the smarts to pick it up! Remember NBC that all of your viewers count and if you stop listening, we will stop watching!
