Good news for college football fans, since this weekend is going to be full of highly-anticipated, exciting games that can be viewed online, on the ESPN networks. WatchESPN, the internet television from the sports media conglomerate, will also be featuring all of the important games of the season.
The service allows sports fans to switch between as many as 20 events at a time, although such performance would require far more bandwidth than most internet providers offer. Moreover, ESPN's GamePlan allows football fans to watch all of their favorite games on DirecTv.
Airing this Saturday at 12 p.m on ESPN3, Massachusetts at Miami (Ohio) is expected to garner quite a large audience. The Miami RedHawkes have had a difficult season, with their star receiver, Nick Harwell, being out for the season on account of a knee injury. Viewers who are not interested in this game can tune into Virginia at TCU instead, which will be featured at noon on ESPN. The Connecticut Huskies will be going up against the Western Michigan Broncos at 2 p.m on ESPN3, with Connecticut coming in with a victory against an ACC opponent in Maryland. Norfolk State Spartans versus Ohio University Bobcats runs at 2 p.m on ESPN3, which could be an interesting alternative to the Connecticut at Western Michigan game.
The Gardner-Webb Bulldogs at Pitt Panthers game at 3:30 p.m seems like one of the highlights of the day. This marks the second FCS opponent of 2012 for Pittsburgh. Kansas Jayhawks at Northern Illinois Huskies will be running simultaneously on ESPN3, and it looks like college football fans have a lot to expect out of this game. Northern Illinois is going to return its whole defense from last year's team, while Kansas opens as a 10 point underdog. East Carolina will be looking to achieve a memorable win against North Carolina this Saturday at 3:30 p.m as well, coming in with a strong defense that played off well in last week's win against Southern Mississippi.
Late afternoon games include Wyoming at Idaho at 5 p.m, The Citadel at NC State and Memphis at Duke at 6 p.m, LSU at Auburn, Coastal Carolina at Toledo, Alcorn State at Arkansas State, Southern Mississippi at Western Kentucky, Troy at North Texas, Rutgers at Arkansas, and Louisville at Florida International at 7 p.m.
