We figured out the "QAM" thing when Comcast required us to have digital converter boxes for TVs without a cable box. When I hooked it up I had no way to receive any HD channels, particularly broadcast stations.
I don't want to go back to the converter box and lose NBC HD, etc. Any tips on how to find these "lost" channels or an updated QAM channel list? Or how to get HD channels with the converter box (Comcast was no help- shockingly!)

Use
TV Guide, TV Listings, Online Videos, Entertainment News and Celebrity News | TVGuide.com and enter your zipcode or city, state. Find which channel ESPN is on and try to manually tune to it with your remote. I've had it happen before where a channel was moved, had to do a rescan, but then had to manually add the channel on my TV too. Good luck.
