Comcast West Virginia extending free set top boxes for next 2 years
Worthy news article for West Virginians with basic comcast cable,
Quote:
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Comcast of West Virginia says it will offer free digital converter boxes for the next two years to customers who have not been able to watch West Virginia Public Broadcasting.
In April, some West Virginians in the Morgantown area and the panhandles lost access to the station when the cable company started carrying a digital-only signal for WVPBS, meaning basic-cable subscribers could not watch it without a converter box.

Comcast had already offered free boxes for a year to affected subscribers. In a statement released Tuesday, the cable company said it would do so again next year.
