Default Recording with a digital tuner?

I contacted comcast regarding to be able to watch one channel and watching another. They said I need a vcr with a digital tuner in order to be able to do this. I have a basic cable package with a cable converter now with no anteena. I do not want a dvr as the price is too expensive each month. Is this possible and this work?

Welcome to the DTVUSA Forum.Based on what you have already stated in your post, you just need a VCR with a digital tuner. I listed 3 options, but there are more.

Option #2
Panasonic DMR-EZ47V Progressive Scan DVD Recorder with VHS VCR, SD Slot, Digital
Option #3
Walmart.com: RCA DVD Recorder/VCR with Digital Tuner, DRC8335 : DVD & Blu-ray Players
