    New No Promotion Policy

Over the years, Comcast has been pretty good about giving customers promotions to lower their bills and keep the customers. Those days are gone, at least for now. The company has a new policy that has taken effect this summer (started several weeks ago actually) where they are no longer going to give those promotions. They say too many people get upset and complain when the promotions fall off and don't like the inconsistency of their bills. To silence those folks, they have simply stopped offering the deals. They will still try to make sure you have the best plan available for your needs, like the double or triple play, and that you are at the level of service you want for TV and internet, but those special promos are currently gone. It will be interesting to see if there is much of an impact with this or not.

In lieu of a price hike perhaps?

Nope. Actually, their prices just went up. I forgot, too, that one of the things they are trying to do is to get people under contracts. They say that guarantees the steady prices that customers are upset about not having. Of course, we know that companies tend to raise prices whenever they want, contract or not.
