Hollywood is busy casting shows right and left this past week.
The combination science fiction drama and comedy, No Ordinary Family, has cast Jason Wiles, formally of Third Watch, as Mike Powell, the brother of lead character Jim Powell, played by Michael Chiklis. Wiles has so far just been cast for a single episode, scheduled to be the third of the season.
Meanwhile, respected comic Bob Newhart has been cast in, of all things, an episode of N.C.I.S. He'll play a medical examiner who crosses paths with that of David McCallum's Ducky examiner.
Also on the casting couch so to speak, Fancast is reporting that Stephen Colletti has been bumped from recurring status to series regular on One Tree Hill. Colletti plays the bartender who tends to get very close to some of the other regular cast members. Likewise, Glee's Darren Criss, who plays Blaine, has also been elevated to regular status.
Finally, over on TV Land's Hot in Cleveland, not only will Mary Tyler Moore be making an appearance as previously announced, but so will Bonnie Franklin, who played 'Hot' star Valerie Bertinelli's mother in One Day at Time. It's definitely going to be a good time in Cleveland with these two appearances, but spicing it up even more will be guest shots by Melanie Griffith, Jack Wagner, and John Schneider.
