What Weigel Broadcasting continues to ignore on their websites, that MeToo is also available on WMEU-LD 48.1 OTA, & usually has a better picture than the share bandwidth crap on WCIU 26.4 (or the other subchannels: MeTV on 26.3, U Too on 26.2, & This TV on 26.5. Depending on what HD programming they show on WCIU 26.1, it can sometimes affect the picture on the other channels. I feel sorry for those who can't get MeTV on WWME-LD 23.1 or MeToo on WMEU-LD 48.1 OTA.

Then you must really feel sorry for people like me, who don't get Me-TV or Me-Too, and I only get This-TV on the weekends and early mornings because they also run MyNetwork TV on KUTV 2.2 during afternoons and primetime. MyNetwork sucks out loud - and I get it on 2 subchannels. A lot of what they carry is syndicated crap that is also available on other channels, too.

I would gladly take lower quality subs of these networks rather than nothing at all.

That's a problem with some stations. For Weigel in Chicgao & Milwaukee, the problem is running too many subchannels along with an HD channel. For WCIU in Chicago, running 720p (most programming still isn't HD), along with 4 subchannels. In Milwaukee, it's running CBS in 1080i, along with 3 subchannels (simulcast of WMLW-LD, This TV, & a real estate channel that they get paid to run, but is turned off during high demand HD programming). Even with having the latest CODECS, it's still not as good. If Weigel had room on WCIU for Bounce, they would have placed it there instead of on WWME-LD 23.2. Being in market# 3, you'd think I would get some of these other networks, but I don't, as the big 4 networks have their own agendas, & don't want to carry anything they don't program themselves (Fox & CBS not carrying subchannels at all).

As for the Davy Jones tribute, it's a way for TV to celebrate the programming he was in (or any star, whether singer, actor, or comedian who was in a show). I know Weigel has the Chicago rights to the Sony library, & that's why they're putting their own Monkees marathon. Too bad for MeTV, they have to settle for guest appearances of Davy Jones of shows he appeared on, as Weigel doesn't have the national rights to the Sony library, & can not show The Monkees. I'm not sure what all shows he was on, but I don't believe it was a lot, as he was more of a musician than an actor.
