Me-TV adds approximately two million homes in Southern California with new primary channel affiliation via KVME-TV; KDOC-TV and KVME-TV jointly brand as Me-TV Hollywood
4.17.2012 – Las Vegas, Nevada – From the floor of the annual National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas, Weigel Broadcasting Co. announced increased distribution for Me-TV in Southern California via a new primary channel affiliation with KVME-TV.
Classic TV fans in Southern California will find it easier than ever to "Like Me" as the Me-TV Network begins airing its memorable entertainment programming Monday, April 30 on KVME-TV, Channel 20, licensed to Bishop California. Me-TV will also continue to air on Los Angeles independent KDOC-TV, Channel 56.3. Both stations will brand themselves as Me-TV Hollywood.
In addition to over-the-air reception, Me-TV fans can also find the definitive classic television network on DirecTV and Dish Network Channel 20, as well as FiOS Channel 462. These changes add more than two million homes to
Me-TV's expanding footprint in Southern California. Me-TV Network clearances cover more than 78% of the country, serving 121 affiliates.
"We are excited to bring our KVME facility into the Me-TV family and provide local advertisers with a significant opportunity to reach classic TV fans in the region where most of the Me-TV programming was originally created," stated Paul Koplin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Venture Technologies, licensee of KVME-TV.
"KDOC brings significant over-the-air as well as cable coverage to the new Me-TV Hollywood effort, helping to create a true win-win situation for viewers and advertisers. It's a great use for our digital sub channel spectrum combined with the primary signal of KVME," said John Manzi, General Manager, KDOC-TV. “Now local advertisers will be able to reach the entire Los Angeles DMA efficiently and easily through jointly managed ad sales over KDOC and KVME.”
