There is some exciting news for fans of Brent Spiner, who played the much beloved android, Lt. Data, on Star Trek: The Next Generation. TV Guide today Wednesday that it has learned that Spiner will appear in a minimum of six episodes of Warehouse 13 when it returns for its fourth season.

Warehouse 13 TeamThe series, which airs on the SyFy Network, is going through a major restructuring since in the finale of the third season, the warehouse exploded and some of the regular characters were killed off. This allows the show to do some reinventing as it sets off for a new season, the debut of which will be on July 23.

What makes Spiner's recurring status so delicious is that it reunites him with the program's star, Saul Rubinek. ST:TNG devotees will vividly recall Rubinek's guest shot on the series when he played Kivas Fajo in The Most Toys episode. Fajo was a collector of all things, and beings, rare. He captured Data, and the show's resolution was one of the most startling ever in terms of Data's evolution.

In Warehouse 13, Rubinek portrays Artie Nielsen, who runs into a bunch of trouble as he tries to keep his team going. That trouble comes in the form of Brother Adrian (Spiner), who has an object that Nielsen needs in order to get things going again.

Executive Producer Jack Kenny spoke about the reunion of Spiner and Rubinek. "It's been a blast watching these two great actors go at each other again. Our fans are in for one wild ride!"
