  • Ratings are Up for Michael Shanks' and Erica Durance's Series, 'Saving Hope'

Ratings for Saving Hope last week were up 25% from the week before which is good news for the cast and fans for the NBC drama. The episode, The Great Randall, was the sixth for this summer series that was filmed in Toronto. Guest starring Peter Keleghan as a psychic who could see the comatose Charlie Harris, the episode was one of the tearjerker variety with Harris' fiance and the hospital's chief resident, Alex Reid, thinking she might be pregnant.

Saving Hope NBCThe drama series, which wrapped production on its 13th and final episode of the first season on Friday the 13th, stars Michael Shanks of Stargate SG-1 as Harris, the Chief of Surgery for Hope Zion Hospital. While his body is flat in bed, his soul or essence is wandering the halls of the facility, chatting it up with other comatose or dead patients. The character of Randall Crane was the first "regular" person to be able to see and speak to the tuxedo-clad Harris.

Also starring in the show is Erica Durance, Clark Kent's love in Smallville. She plays Alex, who is trying to carry on with her physician duties while also coping with her lover's situation.

The series continues to excel in Canada which is also airing the series. It has been in the top five there every week that it has aired.

Episode 7, Consenting Adults, promises to be a story where uniqueness comes into play. It also includes the return of Michelle Nolden as Dawn Bell, Harris' ex-wife. Watch the trailer below.
