In a story by The Hollywood Reporter, Anderson stated, "We've got a lot of fun, great things planned for the new season. I am really excited to be joined by daily co-hosts and look forward to switching to a live format, which allows us more freedom to cover topical issues as well as connect more with the viewer at home."The first co-host will be Kristin Chenoweth, who has made news herself this summer when she was injured filming The Good Wife. Initially, the actress was to play a multi-arc'd character on the drama, but after a fall landed her in the hospital with a head injury, she had to bow out of the recurring role. Still, the producers have left the door open for her to return later in the season when she feels up to it. In the meantime, the arc set for Chenoweth that was begun in the season opener will be assumed by other characters.
Also announced this week is the final contestant in the Dancing with the Stars All-Star round. It was a battle of three that included Kyle Massey and Carson Kressley, but it was season five's Sabrina Bryan who was voted in by the fans. Bryan's elimination in her season was a stunner that shocked the judges and the other competitors at the time. In this go around, she will be teamed with Louis Van Amstel while her original partner, Mark Ballas, teams up for a second time with Bristol Palin.
