'Dancing with the Stars' Adds Post-Show Series Online
Dancing with the Stars is trying something new with its new All Stars rendition this far. They are planning to air a web show directly after each of the TV performance showings end. The Internet program, entitled After Party: Dancing with the Stars, will last somewhere between 20 and 25 minutes and will ab available on ABC.com, ABC's facebook page, and ABC's youtube channel.
There will be a trio of hosts for the web program, headed by Marc Istook who performs the same duty for the Bachelorette series. Joining Istook is former DWTS competitor Joanna Krupa. She appeared in season 8 and made it into the semi-finals with partner Derek Hough.
Another past competitor, Disney Channel's Kyle Massey, will appear as well. His role will be getting inside stories and going backstage for news.
The first show already is lined up to include two special guests, Elena Grinenko, who once danced on the reality show, and a special routine by another former DWTS pro, Lacey Schwimmer.
Also making news is rumblings from controversial DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy that he will be leaving the series when his contract expires at the end of 2013. He claims there is nothing much for him to do after 15 seasons on the series, noting he'd love to act or do another reality programs.
