Cable TV companies are losing subscribers, particularly those who don't spend a lot of money in the first place. But the pace of cable TV subscriber losses picked up in 2010 according to industry analysts. The loss was an astonishing 2.02 million subscribers. As we reported earlier, Time Warner cable introduced a groundbreaking new iPad App that allows streaming of live TV. The app has a couple of restrictions, such as requiring both a TV and internet subscription from Time Warner, and restricting the streaming to within the customer's premises.
