Reality TV continues to excel in the network and cable marketplace. As such, the Hollywood Reporter this week released the news that Bravo will be adding another four reality skeins to their schedule and is also expedited to order another round of "Top Chef: Just Desserts".

Traditionally inexpensive to produce when compared to scripted dramas and comedies, many of these 'real life' adventures and competitions tend to have enough of their own naturally grown humor and antics to keep viewers happy.

The Fall 2010 TV season has already undergone a couple of cuts with other TV shows on life support. The latest to take a ratings hit was the Martha Stewart backed Home segment on the Hallmark Channel.

Hallmark to show less of Martha Stewart

The latest news from the Hallmark Channel was that its Martha Stewart block of programming was overly ambitious and will be scaled back. At the beginning of the season, multiple versions of "The Martha Stewart Show" plus a few other shows produced by her, ran from 10 to 6 p.m.

Are viewers ready for more Ryan Seacrest? The answer may become evident if a deal is completed to launch a new cable network in which the reality host and producer would have an influential role.

The new cable network would be a joint venture between Seacrest, talent agency CAA, and entertainment company AEG. Programming would be along the tones of music, pop culture, and lifestyle. Seacrest isn't expected to be as much of an onscreen presence as, say, Oprah Winfrey will be on her new OWN creation, but rather a partner/producer.

Comic book icon Stan Lee is not only co-hosting a current TV series over on the History Channel, but he has not one, but two potentially TV related projects in the works.

At the moment, Stan Lee's Superhumans airs weekly, its purpose to seek out potential real life superhumans. The show submits the extraordinary people to tests that will hopefully help to explain their unique powers and/or abilities, like a man who can withstand deadly cold.
Previously, Lee hosted a couple of seasons of a reality competition show on TV Land called, "Who Wants to Be a Superhero?" where people created superheroes to be featured in a Stan Lee comic.

Last month in a separate disagreement, Dish Network, the second largest satellite TV provider, claimed that Fox was demanding an 50 percent increase for 19 regional sports networks, National Geographic, and FX channels. As of October 1, those channels are no longer available to Dish customers.

Some viewers may have wondered what had happened to the actor, who had followed up his sitcoms with a fairly successful daytime talk show. His disappearance from the acting world hadn't been a surprise, however. He actually announced his plans as he made them.
