The TV Networks are already making moves in response to the new Fall 2010 TV season. In fact, we have the first casualty of the year, "Lone Star".

    Fox Cancels "Lone Star"

"Lone Star" starred James Wolk, David Keith, and Jon Voight in what was a critically acclaimed series coming into the season. However, it was a complicated plot that involved Wolk's character living a double life, a con man married to two women in two different states. It may be this controversial bigamist situation that could have made this show go under so fast.

September has been full of news with the start of the new TV season and other events. Along with the return of old favorites and new wannabe favorite shows, there has also been a slew of other notable activity.

    --

The daytime drama, "As the World Turns" spun for the last time on September 17. For many, the final episode lacked satisfaction, focusing too much on recent characters in the fictional town of Oakdale in stead of concentrating on veterans, but still, the send off was one full of happy endings.

Long time ATWT performer Don Hastings was at the center of the action as Dr. Bob Hughes, reflecting on the town and the hospital he ran. It was his last day on the job before heading off to whatever retirement had in store for him and his wife, Kim (Kathryn Hays).

It's been an eventful month this September in the world of TV and movie celebrities.

Leading up this week's review is little Winnie Cooper from the 80's TV show, "The Wonder Years". Winnie's portrayal, the beautiful and all grown up Danica McKellar, turned heads as a young girl, then went on to graduate Summa cum Laude from UCLA with a degree in Mathematics, and now has a new role: mother. McKellar and husband Mike Verta welcomed their first child, Draco, into the world on Tuesday, September 7. The couple wed last March.

It is now official. After months of rumors and speculation, CNN has made the announcement that Englishman Piers Morgan will be Larry King's replacement for what is now called, "Larry King Live". The news is not a surprise, but neither has it been without criticism.

Some viewers know Morgan only from two American shows: "Celebrity Apprentice", which he won a couple of years ago, and "America's Got Talent" on which he's been a judge since the series debuted. Few realize that he does indeed have a journalistic background. Still, he's far more associated with reality series, not just here but in Britain as well.

Big news coming out of the Psych camp, and this one should draw some good ratings numbers, too.

Xfinity.tv is reporting that an upcoming Psych case will land characters Shawn and Gus (stars James Roday and Dule Hill, respectively) in a small Northern California town call Dual Spires. Sharp folks might notice the oddity of that title. Here's another hint. One of the residents is The Woman with the Wood. That might remind some of the Log Lady from the groundbreaking series, "Twin Peaks", and it should.

Last night, during a two-hour episode of Bachelor Pad, the Season 11 cast of Dancing with the Stars was announced. Leading up to the big news had been a slew of potential names that were more than lackluster. Some would even call it a nightmare, with only a couple of the rumored names appealing.

The rumors included Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, NFL'er Kurt Warner, David Hasselhoff, Mel Gibson's ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, Singer Brandy Norwood, Teresa Giudice (one of those real housewifes), Dirty Dancing's Jennifer Grey, Michael Bolton, Florence Henderson, Captain Sig Hansen of Deadliest Catch, and Kirstie Alley.
