Default how much for converter boxes?

does anyone know how much these BOXES are going to cost me or am I better off buying new TV’sI hate investing in new gimmicks to make the old stuff work!!!!!

by the way, i live in Canada, so I can't apply to the coupon program. we do receive US tv channels up here.

they range fro 40- 70 dollars depending on the box and the options. dish has a converter /dvr that cost 249.00 but it has no fees with it like tvio or their receiver dvrs.
