Does it help to keep pesky insects and rodents away or does it attract other buzzing insects

now that you mention it, I've had mosquito problems at the condo here. They must be attracting them inside!

i've heard buzzing from electronics that have sat from non-use and when i plug them in i am greeted by about a half-dozen angry wasps!
