    Default converter coupon

    Hello everyone,
I ordered a $40 converter coupon about 5 months ago, and misplaced it. I finally found it last night and to my surprise, it had expired. Is there any way to order another coupon? From what I've read so far on here, it doesn't look like there is.

I don't want to spend a bunch of money on upgrading my TV for dtv signals, so is there a really cheap way to do it without spending $50??

Sorry, but the coupon program ended for good on July 31; replacement coupons also weren't being issued after that date. Have a look at our Converter Box Auctions section, which frequently has good boxes at low prices.

It wouldn't have mattered if they had arrived in your absence, since they're now expired. No provisions have been made to extend their validity for active-duty personnel. Contact your Members of Congress for assistance, if you feel this should be changed.

demarco3670, the federal government's DTV transition Web site answered a closely related question here:

I was just ordered to ship out for active duty overseas next week. I haven’t received my coupons and I will be on duty for the next 6 months. Can I use the coupons when I return?

Sorry, but bicker's suggestion is about the only open alternative now.
