Is it possible to program the Winegard RCDTo9A converter box to also turn on the TV or can you program a Universal Remote Control using a given code for the converter box to turn on both the converter box and TV so as not to keep using two remotes? Any information would be appreciated.

According to one of our moderator's (Sparks), the remote is not a universal or programmable remote (Reference thread: http://www.dtvusaforum.com/winegard-...valuation.html)

I haven't seen any universal codes for any of the converter boxes yet. I'll check around this evening and see what I can find.

Thanks, Jay, for your prompt response and reference. If you come up with anything please let me know. It just seems strange that they can come up with a simple converter box to transform a signal but nothing to turn on the TV so you can use it collectively.
