Can I get sound out of my speakers from the converter box?

I've got a pair of speakers connected to my a stereo that's fed from my VCR and TV right now. So I get sound from my TV to my speakers right? I setup my converter and have it plugged into my TV but I want to know if I can have the sound come out of my stereo and speakers too.

You'd need to use the composite cables. Yellow for video and the red and white go to the stereo.
