That's the only thing I still haven't got working.
Have you tried recording at a weekly scheduled time yet, kind of like a season pass on some of the cable DVRs?

I haven't yet. I just installed the new F207 firmware . I'll set up a scheduled weekly recording of Mr. Ed on THIS TV and let you know how it works out.

Yes, I purchased a DtvPal dvr in Feb. and loved it so much I purchased another one last month when they were back in stock. I have never had any problems with either of mine. I only get about 1 day out of epg, not sure why though. I read someone's post not to long ago that upgraded his DtvPal's hard drive to a 500gb. I noticed you (1inxs) mentioned a 1tb drive upgrade in a previous post. Do you know if a 1tb drive will definitely work in the DtvPal dvr? I would like to upgrade both of mine soon after the warranties expire. Great device, worth every penny!!!

I think 1 day EPG is about the norm, most local stations only broadcast 24 hours worth of programming information but it may change after the transition.

Yes, it absolutely will accept a 1tb HDD. Prior to the F206 firmware it was limited to a500gb HDD. With the F206 or newer firmware the DVR will support a 1tb HDD. It increases capacity to 142hrs of HD recording and 542hrs 08mins SD.

I'm glad to hear that. Are you receiving TVGOS or PSIP program guide? Do you set the timer for a specific time slot each week or some other method?

Did you upgrade your dvr with a 1tb drive or is that a pic from someone else's? Do you know if it will recognize a 1.5 tb drive?

For example, when I set my Pal dvr to record Survivor, I went to the program guide and highlighted the show between 7 and 8pm and it took me to another screen where you can choose how often you want it to record (once, weekly, M-F etc.) That's about it, it will record weekly on that day and between those times. While on that second screen, if you choose OPTIONS, you can tell it to start and stop between 1-5 minutes before and after the show starts and ends. Not sure if I am getting TVgos or PSIP. Don't know much about the difference. How can I tell?

I haven't upgraded my HDD yet. The picture is from a Dish Network DTVPal DVR owner with pictures listed on photobucket.
If you have the TV GUIDE logo in the upper right hand corner as shown in the picture you have TVGOS. If the logo is missing you only have PSIP.

Thanks for the info. I am receiving PSIP. Have you heard of anyone upgrading to a 1.5tb drive? Does TVGOS generally extend further in the EPG than PSIP, or is there any difference between them.
