I know it's hard to believe. I read yours and many others posts on the TiVo forum. You can read mine over there under my same user name. That's why I am posting the information. To give others a heads up. I talked to a broadcast tower engineer. He said there are many many people the service won't work for. I'm just one of the unlucky ones, but it's not a big deal. There is a better option for us.

which dtv pal do you have the first which is the tr40 had a weak tuner the dtv-pal plus has a much improved tuner and is the tuners used in the dtv-pal DVR. the old ones had tr40 had a weak tuner, so don't judge the plus and the DVR by the tr40. I have installed PLus in deep fringe in NC and had great results.
Hehehe!! This forum thread is for the TiVo HD. I do own a PalPlus and a DTVPal DVR though. Love them both.
