Talking Stereo signal lost?

Just hooked up my converter box (digital stream DTX9950). I am very happy. Noticed now that my signal coming out of the box is mono using coaxial cable. Do I need a different converter box or do I just use the RCA jacks and run to the VCR that way? Thanx everyone!

Use the composite. Better picture and sound quality.
