Well, some kind of good news. I turned on the watch and the picture was back. Didnt check it for video but just that it actually turned on again. Now, back to trying to get video to it.
So, last night before the video cut out, I was switching from 3 to 4 and tuning the receiver as slow as I could but didnt get anything. Is there anything else special I should do? I got rid of the Y to eliminate that as a problem. Does the watch still need to "find" the channel through an antenna?
Also, I just spoke with the man who created that separate video box for the watch but he doesnt sell them or will build one. Said that they are easy enough to make though. 1insx, you wouldnt happen to be an electrical engineer or understand whats going on on that website posted above?

your computer will not work with a converter box I have tried you will need to install a tuner for the computer approx 100.00 then you can connect the computer to an antenna or to cable.

Ok thanks. That's good to know. So does that mean I need to get a DTV converter then to get a picture on this thing? The RF modulator wont help me?

Did you connect the DVD player to the modulator connected to the pocket tuner? I misread your post. I thought you had connected the DVD player through the modulator to an old TV and it worked. I didn't realize it was a PC screen. I wouldn't purchase a CECB to connect if you had no intention of purchasing one. I'd find a friend or family that would let you connect it to theirs first. When you get it working correctly you could purchase the CECB for the setup.
Don't eliminate the headphones. You can listen as your tuning it just in case the monitor doesn't work you will know it's connected correctly by receiving the audio.

Very interested. I hooked up the RF to a DVD but with no old TV to check so I just went for it.
I set it to 3 with no headphones but didnt get anything. Then, up around 4, i got a slight picture from a infomercial about DTV and setting up your TV. must be a analog signal.
Set it to 4 on RF and got nothing really. Hooked up the headphones to find that the DVD was playing audio from channel 2-3.5ish. No picture though. Same thing when switching back to 3 on RF but no picture just audio.
Anything else i can try?

That's semi good news. Maybe connect the headphones the way it was originally intended. Try tuning an analog signal. If you are able to tune it and get a picture, you got the proof the pocket tuner and display work.
Then Connect a CECB as planned and you should see the OTA DTV on your watch display.

Ok, now we are getting somewhere! I hook it up again to the DVD player and tuned it again with both 3 and 4 on the FR. Again, sound came through great alone at first but with a little work, I actually got a picture! It wasnt perfect though like it was still out of tune but I was able to make out the movie playing. Then, a few minutes later, I was back to just audio but with interference from that DTV infomercial.
Also, it seems to only want to barely get a picture with the Y hooked up and the headphones plugged in. Even with the FR, does it still need the antenna to work?
Might have to stop as its almost 2am but I REALLY want to get this down. At least I got a glimpse of Bond, James Bond on the screen.

Did it again and got even better results. Still not perfect but the picture was there. Some wavy lines but was great fun to watch James Racing up the mountain in the Sunbeam Alpine. Now i just need to figure out how to optimize the signal or whatever.

I like the play-by-play Cooper. Don't forget to show us some pics. I'd love to try and read a EPG off that watch.

Yep, I have to post some pix. Guess I'm waiting for it to get a nice picture on it.
Tried it again off the DVD player but wasnt able to get any picture. The sound comes in great though. Going to get a nice new COAX cable as they one I have is a crummy push-on one and I can hear a difference in the sound when you move it around. maybe that will give a better signal?
What I really want to post on here is a video of the watch playing the scene from James Bond when the watch is introduced. Now that would be cool!
