I ended up using an RF modulator and going from COAX, to RCA, to mini Phones jack. It didnt get a perfect result but a result non the less. There are other ways I am finding out so if I get another watch, I'll give them a try.

Thanks again guys!

Hi guys,

I just found this topic. It does not seem to be active.
But nice to see that this watch still interests people !

I live in France, and I own three of these watches.

Concerning the question of injecting a video signal into the watch, the best is indeed what was proposed : the use of an RF modulator, the RF output being connected to a jack.

Sound can be retrieved by modifying the jack connection.

I also built the converter of the german guy, but the picture is not as sharp as with the original tuner.

I needed to look at these problems because in France, the analog system is secam, which is 100% incompatible with the NTSC tuner of the watch. So, if I wanted to ever see the watch displaying any picture, I had to find a solution ...

I will post some pictures of my watches and mods.

So, since I posted the last response I sold that watch. It was REALLY hard to do but the price was right.
I felt so bad letting it go that i kept my eye out for another and finally found one. I also bought another receiver and cable to have just in case.

Please post pictures of your setup. Very interested to see. I would love to come up with something a bit simpler with less clutter.

Lets get this all going again. I still have those plans to built a new receiver if anyone knows a really good tech.

Hi guys,

Some pics, as promised.

My watches, the 3 of them in perfect working condition.

Unfortunately, I have got only two tuners. I converted the left one for PAL sound reception. Wow, so much dust on the pouches (tuners are mint inside) !! I realize that I have not been using my watches for too long ...

My converter (please don't laugh, it works !!). I had plans to build an SMD version, but no time for it ... Also dust ...

My RF mod : it outputs PAL. This is why I had to modify one of the tuners to hear some sound. I also used the watch in Spain with success (picture + sound).

That's all for today ....

PS : I do not know how to attach a video, but I made one while a watch was displaying M6, an analog channel broadcasting in Secam.

PS2 : sorry for the pictures size, seems I choosed the bad link in imageshack ...

Screen, those are pretty sweet. I doubt anyone will make fun of your converter here, especially if you built it yourself?!

Thanks TVTom51,

Yes, I built it myself and did the PCB design also. But the basis is the one of the nice german guy.
