About LinkBacksHi, I am currently on my 2nd convertor box and now that one has died. I find it ridiculous that I need to keep getting new convertor boxes. I am not the only one that has had this problem. If I wanted to spend money to be able to watch tv I would get cable but that is not an option for me. I dont think this program has helped anybody. It has only cost me money. And I dont get any new channels.

You're not the first of us to have problems with failing converter boxes. In some cases it is caused by 'cheap' capacitors on the circuit board, in other cases the boxes overheat and display bizarre behavior.
My personal favorite converter box (so far) is the Channel Master 7000: it is made in Bulgaria rather than China and it has a steel rather than a plastic enclosure. It does not have analog passthru capability, so if you currently receive any low-power (LP) stations or if you receive Canadian or Mexican stations, this box is not for you.
