Problem with Converter Box
The biggest problem I have with my digital set top converters, is that they have extremely slow processors. When the wind is blowing the tree limbs around, the signal gets interrupted, and it takes the converter 10-15 seconds to recover.
Naturally this makes watching TV virtually impossible most of the time before 7:00 or 8:00 in the evening, when the wind finally dies down. I also have a problem with low signal strength on most stations. even though I have a top dollar outdoor antenna.
My PBS stations will totally disappear for months at a time, only to mysteriously reappear for a while, before disappearing again.
I live about halfway between Richmond and Charlottesville, Va. and have the same problems with stations from both locals. I have also noticed, that after an all day heavy soaking rain, I will lose all but one channel for several days.

Please post the URL for your TV Fool report. I'm also guessing based on your "I have also noticed, that after an all day heavy soaking rain, I will lose all but one channel for several days" comment that water is getting into your reception system and causing it to "short out." Please let us know what antenna you are using also. Thanks!
