I just bought a converter box(we're dropping cable) for my analog tv. Got my old rabbit ears out of the basement but it won't screw into Antenna RF Input which instead of totally round(like AV RF Out) is flat-like on the top and bottom. If I hold the antenna output against the convertor box Ant FV Input, it works fine and I get good reception.

Is there some kind of adapter I can purchase to remedy this problem?

I think that one of these is what you are looking for. They should have them at Walmart also, but you can probably get a new RCA ANT112 with the correct output for about -5 more.

He could be refering to an F-type connection, some f-type barrels are shaved down the sides. In which case any electronics (hobby) store store should have them for a couple of bucks.

Is that better than this one? ($4.99 incl. S&H)
New Digital Box HDTV Indoor UHF VHF Rabbit Ear TV Antenna | eBay

Maybe it depends on whether you can get by with 28 inches of coax. The RCA has 5 feet. Dumb question: why the rectangular UHF element? Wouldn't the double loop be better? Can it be any old shape?

I guess we could have FOX or Trip test them and see which one was better. Also, RCA ANT112s are at most, if not all, local Walmarts. The eBay one won't get here till Monday.

I generally have better luck than that with sellers rated > 99% . However, it is coming from the Bronx, and they might claim Sandy slowed it down somehow.
