My first thoughts on this converter box, was that it looked like HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey!

That's about the best thing I can say about it. I've already returned it (and bought another terrible replacement converter). I'm not sure if the unit I had was actually defective, but it seemed to freeze up during operation. Another issue was the amount of heat that it put out (which was comparible to my Apex DT250) but it might have been one of the reason's why this box didn't function so well. DTV channel reception wasn't so good either, especially compared to my Tivax unit.
