You won't get the full gain the dish is capable of doing like it does with the feedhorn in the focal point. I believe the UHF wavelength is 4 times larger than the digital wavelength from the satellite. You can use one of the clip on UHF antennas in the center of the dish. You would need to mount it a little closer to the dish than the actual focal point for it to work. There are some techies here in the forum that will probably explain this better than I did.
