Default Are old satellite dishes worth anything?

Just moved into my house last week and there's what looks to be about a 15 year old DirecTV satellite dish hanging from the roof. I don't even think it's an HD dish. Are these dishes worth anything to try and sell or exchange for a new DirecTV dish?

Short answer is no. The J-mounts work great for smaller over the air TV antennas, so you may be able to get $5-$10 at a yard sale for the J-mount. Otherwise, new Dishes are included in the price of the DirecTV contract, and DirecTV considers the old dishes to be scrap.
    Snappy Dan Reminds You:

DO NOT install antennas anywhere where they could fall into overhead power lines!!! An antenna falling into power lines may result in electrical shock or death. All outdoor antennas must be grounded in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Be careful while working on roofs or towers. Always use appropriate safety precautions!!!

    Guest,

I have seen large (retired) dishes used as planter boxes and small (retired) dishes converted to bird baths!
