3D not recognized by TV

I just bought a VIZIO E3D470VX 47-Inch 3D HDTV last week and connected it to my DirecTV Genie last night. For some reason it won't recognize 3D channels on DirecTV? My Vizio will play 3D Blu-ray's however so I know that it does work for other 3D content. Do I need to change a setting?

So just to get things straight, you have an HDMI cable plugged into the DirecTV Genie from your Vizio HDTV? Are there any settings on your Vizio for 3D? It should be set to "automatically detect".

Also, check and see that the DirecTV Genie is setup for 3D too in the settings.

What type of 3d format supports your television, because there is many formats of 3D And perhaps your television doesn't supports all formats of 3D also check the HDMI cable perhaps are using an cable which doesn't support 3D formats
