Default Dish is out of allignment

Having signal problems after I did some yard work last week. Must have bumped the dish accidentally. Anyway, I used to get a signal of 95-100 on my signal meter, now I'm lucky if I get 82-85 where it starts dropping completely. What's the easiest way to realign it? It's a bit difficult because I don't have access to a TV to see what's going on when I move the dish!

It shouldn't be very difficult to fix. It has happened a few times on our dish during heavy rain storms.

1. Find the signal settings on your DirecTV receiver, and open them. Turn up the volume loud enough to hear outside which will make a high pitched noise and adjust accordingly.

2. Have a friend or family member stand by a TV and use the and yell at you whenever you're adjusting the dish in different directions. My wife is pretty good at yelling at me so I use her whenever I adjust the dish.

I've talked to their customer service before and had them step me through aligning my dish. It isn't too difficult to do if your dish is only off by a few degrees. Have you inspected the dish outside yet? There's nothing blocking its view is there?

Thank you both, I think we almost fixed it this weekend. We're getting a 92-95 on the signal meter but occasionally have our picture kind of jumble but not very often. I might try to get out the latter again this weekend and give it a another try.
