Default Cinemax for a penny a year

It saddens me to forward the news that this deal is over once your year is up. It was a great 2 cents spent for me over the last 2 years. For the normal $12 per month, sorry. Goodbye Max.

Note: I am not sure they will notify you so make sure you notify Dish that you cancel this deal before the regular price kicks in.

I'm always skeptical at deals like this. Kind of like when my wife gets excited about when Dillard's gives away makeup with $50 worth of purchases at their store. Nothing is ever free. The costs are always factored in to the deal.

I think the Cinemax deal was one of those cases where their subscribers were actually getting a deal because if I remember right, the price hadn't changed for their tier packages.

You might not be able to cancel, either. Deals like this usually have strong terms and conditions, but you never know. Sometimes there really are good deals out there.

I agree. I always try to take into account what my costs will be long-term but of course some of these deals are actually great when you average them over the course of time--for the person who got 2 years for 2 cents especially
