It's about time. DirecTV has been kickin tail with adding HD programming over the past year. I am curious as to what channels.

In all fairness to Dish, they have been doing pretty good over the last year as well. The only thing I am still really mad at is the way Dish took down the Voom line-up 14 months ago.

One of the new channels actually makes me gag. It will probably do the same for some others. The other 2 are pretty good.

All of them are HD counterparts for channels we already get. There is hint number 1.

The first is the one that makes me gag. QVC-HD is warming up. Not available to subscribers yet. I hope they are paying big bucks to Dish.

haha, I think we only have a few Dish subscribers at the forum for now. I've thought about checking out Dish with the 1080p VOD service but just haven't had time to research it. If they're adding HD channels, that definitely makes their service more attractive to me.

You've heard about it but do you know all about it?

Dish ViP DVR's get a HD-VOD service on channel 501. Actually there can be around 10 HD channel 501's with different movies all costing $6.99. The movies change monthly. Only one of the movies (so far) are actually 1080p. Currently the movie playing in 1080p now is "Knowing".

But that's it. That is the only thing playing in 1080p on Dish.

OK so no BBCA-HD yet. Maybe by 3PM on Wed. Remember, it was a rumour. Sorry about all the hype to all the Torchwood fans.

Wonder if they still show reruns of Black Adder on BBC? Love that show.

I was not aware of that. I think that is fabulous. I have been hearing about alot of different companies doing that. I am sure tv will be more enjoyable that way.
