Default my dtv converter box

I have just installed my new dtv converter box to my 50 inch flat screen t.v. I have surround sound on it too. I have a nice connection but the sound is like a hum and echo. do you think I do not need the dtv box on my television set.

Hi Jonettta,
You might be right about the TV. When you get a chance, can you give us the make and model# of the TV set? We can confirm if you've got a built-in digital tuner or not. How long ago did you purchase it?

It could possibly be a bad converter box too...or bad wires.

The more information you can give us on the TV, will help us give you a more accurate answer or solution.
